Girls...
Well, today my mom, me, Olivia, and Madison all went shopping. I really went to try to find me some clothes and a pair of black shoes. Well, I got the black shoes and 1 sweater. This is what Olivia and Madison ended up with: Olivia-2 pairs of shoes, 1 shirt, 1 dress, 1 pair of socks, 1 ball, 1 movie; Madison-1 pair of shoes, 1 shirt, 1 ball (well, the movie was for both of them). Why is it that I can never really buy anything for myself? :) But I'm happy with their stuff though...and about 1/2 of it my mother paid for, so I shouldn't complain.

Still awake...
Well, it's 3:50 pm and I didn't get a nap today, and the girls have been asleep for a long while thisafternoon. So it's not looking good for me! :(
No, actually, I'm OK. I drank me a Folger's capuccino (David's mom got me hooked on them) and so I'm good to go now. Maybe I can get to bed by 10 or 11 tonight................

Sleepy thoughts...
Well, last night we had a lock-in with the kiddos at church...I am exhausted! I slept for about 2 hours there and then about 2 when we got home, but I need more sleep than that to really function. Plus, I had the girls to sleep on the floor in David's office, along with me...so the sleep I did get wasn't that peaceful. With a hard floor and about 30 kids, I was doomed for sleep. Anyway, I can get a good night's sleep tonight...if I can just make it that long...aahhh, thoughts of naptime...:)

Christmas 2006

Well, Christmas was a success. Even though I'm kinda relieved that it's over. Now I can rest! Well, no, now I have so many toys and boxes in the floor that I've gotta clean up, but at least it's kinda back to normal. But I had a very good Christmas! This is Olivia's favorite baby doll that she got from Santa. She has barely put it down since she got it.

Christmas
Well, tonight is the night that I get to be Santa! I love Christmas. We've got the girls in the bed but I think Olivia is kind-of excited because she's not asleep yet. But if I could get sleepy-head David up to put the stuff together then we could get it done! hehe...no, he's in there with Olivia helping her fall asleep. Did I mention that I LOVE CHRISTMAS??!!! :) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

My Christmas Present!!!
Well, I got home today, and sitting in my dining room was a TREADMILL! On it it said "Merry Christmas, I Love You." I have wanted one for a long time now, and we definitely can't afford it. But David always wants to get me things that I want. WOW! I'm in shock! This will definitely help me! I am so lucky to have David!!!

Shots!
Well, last night we had Christmas on my dad's side of the family. The girls of course were showered with gifts. They're so lucky (and I am too b/c they get lots of clothes and I don't have to buy them)!
Today we went to the Health Department and got the rest of Madison's immunizations and her 2nd flu shot. She got 4 shots. She was not a happy camper! Now they're both asleep. Ah, the silence. Won't last long! :)

Revenge of the Germs
Well, it's 1:10 am, I can't sleep because I've got this new cold. I thought I was doing so good last weekend fighting off that bug and everything. And now this hits me. Oh well! My nose is running like a river. I guess that's what I get for bragging. :) Well, I'm done complaining now. Gotta go lay back down and try to sleep.

Feeling Better, Great Hubby, and Toddler Chat
Well, I'm well now. Actually, I was well yesterday too, but I had company and didn't get to post a blog yesterday. I hate being sick. David was good though. He made me go back into the bedroom and get in bed and he took care of the girls. I'm lucky. Lots of men would just leave them with me. I don't think I could've handled that Thursday night when I felt so bad. I'm truly lucky to have such a great hubby! And great kids. Madison is starting to say a few words now. She can of course say 'Mama' and 'Dada', and she's been saying 'Hey' for a while...but the past few days she's said 'Pop', 'Granny', 'Mamaw', 'Sissy', 'No No', and the newest is 'Ionnow' (for I don't know). It cracks me up to hear her say that. It's so funny to hear little kids be so country. Can't help but be country in Fulton! :)

Sickness...blah blah
Well, I've finally managed to get off the couch for today. I've been sick since yesterday about lunch time. I don't know what the deal was. I ran 100.0 temp last night but that's as high as it got. Then it just went away and hasn't been back since. But I've felt much better today. Maybe that means my immune system was strong enough to fight it off! Well, not much happening today. I've gotta get busy now cleaning the house because my mother and father-in-law are coming tomorrow for the weekend. I'm ready for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today
Well, I went to see my friend Misty today in the hospital. She's doing pretty well considering...I know it must be tough to be going through what she has to go through. Life is tough sometimes!
We also went and picked up our pictures. We bought the 10x13 picture from the school. They're trying to raise money for a girls' sports complex. So that one was paid for. But of course they had lots of others printed out to show us and try to get us to buy. Needless to say, we bought way to many and they were VERY expensive. No, we really couldn't afford them...but the girls will only be little once, right? And I'm a sucker for pictures. So is David. Oh well! :) They're really good though!
Tonight we're having the kids (teenagers) from church over for supper and fellowship. We have them over once a month. Well, I gg clean up the house!

~Great thoughts~
I just love this poem...it's long, but worth it!
A HOUSE THAT'S TRULY CLEAN
by Cindy Colley
I'm not a clutter person. I put things away.
I constantly remind the kids. "It's easier that way."
"When every item has a place and every item's in it,
It really saves a lot of time and we need every minute!"
I'm also big on hygiene. "Be sure to brush and floss!"
Everyone has checkups, no matter what the cost.
Once the kids came home from school infested with head lice;
We quickly bought the remedy and did full treatments. Twice.
The bed sheets are changed weekly. The floors are daily swept.
The vanities are shining and the bedrooms neatly kept.
When the baby had a virus, I scrubbed and disinfected.
For other kids were in the house and they must be protected!
No raw meat on the counter, no raw eggs in the cream.
No drinking after others or swapping helmets with your team.
I take the baby wipes for our booth at Burger King
And we wouldn't touch that toilet at the Y for anything!
But do I live a cluttered life in a more important way?
I mean, do I make sure there is time for God inside my day?
Do I save a place for him in conversation and in prayer?
When my children watch my schedule, are they impressed that he is there? While I'm so concerned that they are clean, and getting good nutrition.
Am I feeding them the Bread of Life? What of the soul's condition?
I lose my sanity when they come home from school with lice.
But they turn on the TV and none of us think twice.
As all the world's pollutants nestle snugly in their heads,
The lies, the cursing and filth remains, when I tuck them in their beds.
I kiss their sparkling foreheads and their freshly shampooed tresses,
I am not the least concerned about those mental messes.
The startling contradictions they must be thinking through
The difference in what's said at home and what's taught in Sunday school
The things that made Mom mad today, the things she rushed to do
And maybe even sadder still ... the things Mom didn't do.
We didn't learn my memory verse. Our Bible time we missed
We didn't check on Sister Smith, but she's still on our list.
In fact I can't remember if we even said a prayer.
Oh yeah, Coach said one on the field. At least we made it there!
Kids know the stuff you think is neat. They see what makes you tick.
They know when you missed Bible class, you really weren't that sick.
They see what makes you happiest. They wait for your applause.
They know when you are angry and they contemplate the cause.
And so they're off to sleep, their teeth are brushed and clothes laid out
And Mom has just a moment to see what Daddy's all about.
He's glad to finally have a rest... a client made him late
He hasn't had his dinner yet and, my, it's half past eight!
He asks about that virus ... if Timmy's finally fit.
He asks about the practice. Did Johnny get a hit?
He talks about his business deal, the merger he controls.
He talks of money, men and might, but not about their souls.
He says, "Are the kids asleep yet? You might want to close their door."
I want to turn the TV up. Tonight's the final four!
He gets worked up at the referees, but when the game is done
He says, "Did you get my shirts starched? I think I'm down to one?"
Clean shirts, clean cars, A clean bill of health.
It's just the way we live. We never stop to think of the impression that we give. Those tiny hearts tucked into bed can see right through the clean.
They see misplaced priorities. They know just what we mean.
So when I grab that Pine Sol to wipe up those greasy splatters.
I say a prayer that He will help me see what really matters.
To know that in the scheme of things, these messes are so small.
To know that in the scheme of things, these messes are so small.
For if I've made a mess of living, I have lost it all.
I thank Him for the blood that is the cleanser for my soul.
I pray for wisdom as I let His purpose take control.
It's on the One who washes white as snow that I must lean
If I ever hope to live inside a house that's truly clean!

Life...
Well, today my friend Misty had her baby. He was born about 3 months early. He weighs 1 lb. 13 oz. It really made me realize how much things are different now. I mean, we used to worry about that guy that we liked and blah blah blah. Just nonsense. This is REAL life. Me and Laura were talking about this. It's just strange how things have changed so much. How we have changed so much. How we have grown so much. Please be OK McKade and Misty. Goodnight.

Things I didn't and did get done...
Well, didn't get the entire house cleaned today. But there's always tomorrow, and next week...:) ha.
The cloth diapers are going pretty well. I researched on the internet and decided to try some antifungal cream too since it's probably turned into a yeasty diaper rash. So, with the combination of the 2, maybe we'll be rid of that rash soon! But for sleeping purposes, we're going with disposable...at least for tonight.

Cleaning house day...puey!
Well, I've GOT to clean up the house today. It seems that with these two, I have to pick one big task a day. Yesterday, it was wrapping presents. I wrapped all the presents except the ones from "Santa". I have to wait until Nosey Rosey AKA Olivia is asleep before I can wrap those. She was my big helper yesterday. But today, have to get to the housework...blah! I'd rather wrap presents :)
Oh, another note-- I've started Madison on cloth diapers today...so we'll see! I'm trying to get rid of that awful diaper rash. Well, on with the house cleaning...................

Christmas, parades, and all that jazz!

Well, yesterday was an absolutely delightful day! David kept the girls for a few hours and let me
go and pay bills and do a little shopping. Now I know paying bills doesn't sound that great, but when you're alone for the first time in forever...it's pretty grand! :)
Then last night we all went to the Christmas parade. It was absolutely FREEZING COLD but I had the girls wrapped up pretty good. They still were like popcicles when it was over! But Olivia wanted to go back and watch it again so I guess in the long run it was worth it. Can't have Christmas without a parade!!! Here is a picture of them all wrapped up for the parade...the camo suits were just the top layer of many! Anyway, then we went to Amory to look at the Christmas lights. This one neighborhood had almost every yard decorated.
They loved it! (And I did too! hehe) I guess I'm still a child at heart when it comes to Christmas! But who isn't?
Tonight we're having Christmas with David's family. One of his sisters lives in Arkansas and so we have Christmas whenever she can get over here. So, I'm beginning to get super excited about Christmas! YAY! I can't wait! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Tuesday, December 05, 2006
Well, me and the girls went to Amory today and believe it or not it took the whole day to feed them breakfast, get them and me dressed, go to Amory (Fred's and Wal-Mart, and Sonic) and then get back home. The ENTIRE day! Wow. I'm exhausted. We had a good time though I guess. I had their Christmas pictures taken at the Wal-Mart photo studio there so we had to go pick up their pics today. They're pretty good, although if they were centered better in the picture it would be even better! Oh well! :) That's Wal-Mart pics for you!

No Matches
Ha, I was just trying to do my celebrity collage on myheritage.com, and it said I have no matches. No one looks as bad as I do! :) That makes me feel really good! Oh yeah.

Today
Well, today was a pretty good day. We got the Christmas tree up yesterday and got it decorated, and I finally got some work done on my Medical Transcription stuff. If I could just get done with it... :) Now I'm just ready for Christmas. I guess we try to rush Christmas too much. We rush to get it here and wait and wait for it and then before you know it Christmas is gone. But I still love it! :) Here are some pictures I took tonight of us and our tree...

about to eat!

This is a good one of David and Madison.

Our Christmas tree...

poor Madison!

Isn't it funny how most pictures turn out like this with kids? :)
